Home Tending
Centurion Professional Home Tenders offers a variety of services to its customers on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly schedule.

“Subcontractor-Monitoring Service” is included with every Home Tending Service contract.

When Centurion visits your home we focus on over 300 points of inspection to be sure that your property is not at risk by existing or future problems.

Some of the points of focus are listed below:

  1. Inspecting the water main
  2. Check for roof leaks
  3. Ascertain Storm Damage
  4. Pick up and sort mail / newspapers
  5. Check functioning of toilets
  6. Inspect all water valves for leaks
  7. Inspect hot water heater for leaks
  8. Inspect Air conditioning / leaks/ thermostat
  9. Check Humidity control
  10. Monitor Art or antique collection
  11. Inspect baseboards for water leaks/rot/insect damage
  12. Check for insect infestation
  13. Maintain the generator
  14. Conduct crime prevention survey
  15. Evaluate your home's hurricane preparedness
  16. Check with local law enforcement agencies to determine if there has been recent criminal activity in your area
  17. Move cars in drive / lived in look
  18. Ensure Alarm call-out service is functional
This is just a small sample of what Centurion looks for when we tend to your home. With each visit to your home Centurion generates a detailed activity / inspection log that is left for you. Some of our customers appreciate a phone call or an e-mail after each visit and this can be arranged at your request.

SUBCONTRACTOR-MONITORING SERVICE

Subcontractor-Monitoring Service is included in each Home Tending contract. We will maintain a list of all your subcontractors (lawn maintenance, pool service, maid service, etc.) with detailed notes of the quality of service you expect to receive from each.

Subcontractors are contracted on an individual basis to let them know that Centurion will be the go-between in your absence.

  1. Evaluate and grade the work performed by the subcontractor on each visit
  2. Address issues that arise regarding the service provided by subcontractors
  3. Ensure quality control
  4. Hold the subcontractors to the high standard that you would expect if not absent
In the event that one of your subcontractors walks off of the job, goes out of business, or continuously displays poor performance, Centurion will, at your request, locate a professional and qualified replacement from our large list of personally known proven-quality subcontractors.

Common issues for absentee homeowners include:

  1. Pool services - miss visits because the home owner is absent
  2. Lawn services - skip visits knowing the homeowner is absent. The health of the lawn suffers and the appearance deteriorates
  3. House keepers - skip visits or perform below your levels of expectation
  4. Pet sitters' visits become irregular
  5. Boat maintenance - workers perform substandard work or don't show up
